Welcome to the Department
We are please to welcome two new faculty members!
Steve Cicala is joining us as the new Vontobel Foundation Professor in Sustainable Economics. He earned his PhD at Harvard University and joins us from Tufts University, where he was an associate professor in the Department of Economics. Steve is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and co-director of the NBER Project on the Economic Analysis of Regulation.
His work sits at the intersection of energy and environmental policy, regulation, and industrial organization. Welcome, Steve!
Ursina Schaede, Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics at Tufts University, is joining us as a UZH Visiting Assistant Professor.
Ursina obtained her PhD in Economics from the University of Zurich and is an alumna of our department. She is a CESifo affiliate. Her research focuses on labor markets with an emphasis on education and gender. Her current work explores how families make decisions around maternal labor supply following childbirth. Welcome back, Ursina!
