New Grants
Researchers from our department were recently awarded research funding for a wide range of projects. Congratulations to all of them!
Johannes Algermissen, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Economics of the University of Zurich, has been awarded funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation. His project, "How goals regulate neural information processing to shape behavior (GRIPS)," will begin in July 2026 and run for two years, with an approved budget of CHF 260,816.
Ana Costa-Ramón, Assistant Professor of Economics of Child and Youth Development endowed by the Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development, has been awarded an ERC Starting Grant from the European Research Council. Her project, "Safeguarding Childhood: Bullying, Online Risks, and Human Capital Formation (SAFECHILD)," will begin in 2027 and run for five years, with an approved budget of 1,486,500 EUR.
Ernst Fehr, Professor of Microeconomics and Experimental Economics at the Department of Economics of the University of Zurich, has been awarded funding from the NOMIS Foundation. His project, "The psychological foundations of social preferences and fairness concerns," will begin in September 2026 and run for two years, with an approved budget of CHF 380,000.
Diego Känzig, Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Northwestern University and Visiting Professor at the Department of Economics of the University of Zurich, has been awarded an ERC Starting Grant from the European Research Council. His project, "The Macroeconomics of Climate Change: Quantifying Physical and Transition Risks (CLIMACRO)," will begin in 2027 and run for five years, with an approved budget of 2,151,388 EUR.
