Martina Pons, new member of the professorial staff
Martina Pons has joined the Department of Economics as of September 1st, as an Assistant Professor in Econometrics in the Digital Age. Welcome on board, Martina!

We are delighted to welcome Martina Pons, Assistant Professor in Econometrics in the Digital Age, as a new faculty member to our department as of 1 September 2025. Martina received her PhD in Economics from the University of Bern in May 2025.
Her research interests lie in econometrics, with a particular focus on distributional methods and panel data econometrics. She develops methods to better understand how policies affect the entire outcome distribution rather than just the average. In particular, she has proposed an approach that makes it possible to analyze how policies influence heterogeneity and inequality both within and between groups simultaneously. She is also interested in applied topics related to inequality and health economics.
Welcome on board, Martina!
