Carmen Villa, new member of the professorial staff
Carmen Villa has joined the Department as of September 1st, as an Assistant Professor in Economics of Child and Youth Development Age. Welcome on board, Carmen!

We are delighted to welcome Carmen Villa, Assistant Professor in Economics of Child and Youth Development Age endowed by the Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development, as a new faculty member to our department as of 1 September 2025. She is also affiliated to the Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development.
Carmen Villa obtained her PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick in May 2025. In 2023, she visited the University of Chicago as a Fulbright US-UK scholar. The following year, she was awarded the British Spanish Society scholarship. Most recently, she was selected for the EALE Tour 2025.
