Like Susan Firer's "Under the Blue Angel in the Zurich Train Station," Kent Johnson's text is best considered a prose poem, rather than as a piece of flash fiction (or short short story).
The historical figures referenced in the text (e.g. Hugo Ball and Francis Picabia) make it clear that this text is, among other things, an homage to Dada Zurich.
