Overview

In the field of health economics the chair of Prof. Dr. Peter Zweifel focuses on measuring preferences for social health care. Using the methods of discrete-choice, preferences of consumers (and general practitioners) toward new types of health insurance contracts were investigated in so-called "Discrete-Choice Experiments". A second emphasis is lying on the economic evaluation and international comparison of ambulant care. Modeling long-term insurance contracts builds a gateway to insurance economics.
