Neuroeconomics and Social Neuroscience

Research

We investigate the neural basis of economic and social decision making, moral behavior, and reward learning. To this effect, we use behavioral methods together with neuroimaging techniques (primarily fMRI) and study both group effects and individual differences in decision making. We have for example found a variety of reward signals, including reward magnitude, probability, and risk in regions such as the striatum and prefrontal cortex.
